ANGLES answered Shanghai’s post-pandemic call for new bands. Some old faces infamously known to the local crowds took up the quest and new blood has poured into the “scene.” ANGLES is a keep-it-simple three-piece band that deliberately attempts to make it complicated.
Less is more, but more is better. Bass, drums, guitar, alternating lead and gang vocals, the trio picks up from where things were still pretty cool in the American alternative rock music of the early 90’s to the early 2000’s, right before everything went right into the garbage can. ANGLES makes and supports true, authentic, hand-crafted, sweat-drenched, raw, unfiltered, DIY, media-itchy, anti-movement, anti-laptop, kind of music but with LOVE!
