Still Wave Unleashes Metaphoric Nightmare with Debut Single "Spaceman (with a Gun)"

Still Wave, the enigmatic musical collective hailing from Rome, makes a thunderous entrance onto the scene with their debut single, "Spaceman (with a Gun)." Available on all digital platforms, this captivating track serves as the first glimpse into their upcoming album, "A Broken Heart Makes An Inner Constellation," set to release on June 28th, 2024 via These Hands Melt.

"Spaceman (with a Gun)" plunges listeners into a metaphoric nightmare, exploring the depths of solitude and the haunting specter of lost love. With a haunting blend of pop's infectious hooklines and black metal fury, Still Wave crafts a sonic landscape that is both chilling and mesmerizing.

Formed in Rome by Luca Fois (guitar) and Eliana Marino (keyboards), Still Wave was born out of a shared vision to create music that defies convention. Joined by Daniele Carlo (drums) and Manuel Palombi (bass), the band completed their instrumental lineup before recruiting vocalist and lyricist Valerio Granieri (also of Rome In Monochrome) to finalize their debut album.

Recorded, mixed, and produced in Rome by Fabio Fraschini (Novembre, Arctic Plateau) and Luca Fois at PlayRec Studio, with mastering by Øystein G. Brun (Borknagar) at Crosound Studios, "A Broken Heart Makes An Inner Constellation" promises to be a sonic journey unlike any other.

The music video for "Spaceman (with a Gun)," created by UnderRoom Studio, transports viewers into a world of mystery and heartbreak. Drawing inspiration from the thrill of "Twilight Zone" and the delicate melancholy of "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind," the video invites audiences to ponder the depths of isolation and the longing for connection.

"Spaceman (with a Gun)" marks the beginning of a new chapter for Still Wave, as they prepare to unleash their unique blend of shoegaze, post-rock, and doom black metal upon the world. With their debut album on the horizon, Still Wave is poised to make a profound impact on the musical landscape.
