With their third record, ShitNoise shows the world their most energetic and mature work to this day. Departing from their previous noise-centric approach, the band introduces a fusion of grungy guitar riffs, metal-influenced double-kick drums, and a more mature production style, demonstrating their versatility and willingness to experiment with different genres. This is also the first ShitNoise record with real drums! Paul Albouy was able to record his parts on this album in a very high quality!
This album began as a grunge record, channeling energy from bands like Nirvana, Sonic Youth, The Sonics, and early Garage-Punk-inspired Gilla Band.
The album's thematic core revolves around the dual narrative of confronting the harsh realities of living in a damned society and the long-lasting psychological effects of traumatic events. Through its gritty soundscapes and stream-of-consciousness lyrics, the record paints an ugly portrait of present-day existence and the enduring human spirit in the face of relentless adversity.
About the track: The song talks about friends who act cool, meanwhile their life is a total mess. This is one of the last songs Tim Aringazi (ex-guitarist) wrote for the band, and one of the first songs written for the record! We told ourselves "Alright, we want to make a grunge record. Tim, you got anything?"
