Progressive Thrash/Death Metal band Ego Divided are pleased to announce the release of their self-titled debut album, a musical journey that explores the concepts of infinity, perception, hope and resilience, available on all streaming platforms from February 22, 2024. The album, consisting of 7 original tracks, is an energetic and passionate journey through the modern metal scene.
Born in 2005 from the passion for Death Metal of guitarists Massimo Masi and Alberto Zimone, Ego Divided embarked on an evolutionary journey that led them to embrace more progressive sounds. The arrival of vocalist Mauro Tagliavia in 2012 marked a new step: Mauro's poetic and deep lyrics intertwine perfectly with the band's powerful and refined music.
However, Ego Divided's journey has not been without obstacles. Several changes in the band's lineup delayed the production of their first album. Only in 2018, with the addition of drummer Elio Lao and bassist Alessio Lopes, did the band find its definitive lineup and finally complete the recordings. Two songs, "Source" and "Fearless Reason", had already been recorded previously, but only with the arrival of new members did Ego Divided manage to bring to life the project for their debut album, released in 2024. The current line-up of Ego Divided is made up of: Mauro Tagliavia (vocals), Massimo Masi (guitar), Alberto Zimone (guitar), Alessio Lopes (bass) and Elio Lao (drums).
