PRIMUS Releases Music Video For 'Follow The Fool' From 'Conspiranoid' EP

The eccentric alt-metal group has a special vinyl of “conspirator” EP out through now ATO Records


Primus has unveiled a music video for “Follow the Fool”last single from his new “conspirator” EP. Primus announced “conspirator” The EP followed in April with the release of their epic, 11-minute opening track, “Conspiranoa”. “I was itching to record an opus—basically a long, winding, bastard version of a song reminiscent of some of the compositions I cut my teeth (or ears) in my music-hungry teens,” claypool Told. ,‘conspiracy’ had sprouted from a seed I had planted in my notebook a year or so ago—a few lines commenting on the mental state of the contemporary world.”


Claypool explained the origins of the single and its accompanying B-sides in an interview with Result, He added: “With our new studio work and some impending tour, we decided the world should be subject to something new. primus material. Not wanting to, or even not having the time to record an entire album, the notion of a ‘single’ was tossed around. I was itching to record an opus—basically a long, winding, bastard version of a song reminiscent of some of the compositions I cut my teeth (or ears) in my music-hungry teens. ,‘conspiracy’ had sprouted from a seed I had planted in my notebook a year or so ago – a few lines commenting on the mental state of the contemporary world. “I saw growing distrust and division among friends, co-workers, relatives, and friends. The consumption of misinformation, misinformation, distorted information, and flat-out fairy tales by anyone with a slight hint of web design competency and I was compelled to highlight the ridiculousness of many of these approaches and the lack of rational thought that was being applied in the interpretation of many such institutions and theories.
