Canadian hardcore/metalcore band Killed By Sorrow returns with a vengeance with their new single, Devil’s Dance. The track showcases the band’s signature blend of crushing riffs, raw emotion, and dynamic intensity, reaffirming their position as one of Quebec’s most electrifying metal acts.
Formed in 2000 in Granby, Quebec, Killed By Sorrow has a storied history, including opening for Swedish legends Raised Fist. After a long hiatus, the band reunited in 2021 under the leadership of bassist Fred Lussier, welcoming new members to their lineup. Since their comeback, the band has released two EPs—Time Has Come (2022) and Careless Of This Sadness (2023)—earning acclaim for their powerful sound and relentless energy.
The single is an unrelenting sonic assault, driven by the crushing guitar work of Tommy Forand and Samuel Ham, the thunderous drumming of Martin Charbonneau, and the powerful vocals of Mailloux. With its heavy breakdowns and anthemic hooks, Devil’s Dance is poised to become a fan favorite.
Having shared stages with metal heavyweights like Killswitch Engage, Despised Icon, and Stick to Your Guns at Festival au Lac 2023, and having electrified audiences at the 7th Festival Underground in Waterloo, Quebec, Killed By Sorrow continues to solidify their reputation as a must-see live act. Despite the departure of longtime bassist Fred Lussier in August 2024, the band has found new momentum with the addition of Martin Bersier-Carpentier (Winterfall, Without Fate).
