BIO

Henry, born in Haarlem the Netherlands, moves to Heerhugowaard at a young age and hears all kinds of music at home. Classic, pop, rock, jazz, gospel, easy listening. Dire Straits and Rory Gallagher, among others, are very popular with the music of his brothers. In the house there is usually somewhere a ukulele or a cheap guitar from the postorder company. The stringed instrument accompanies him from an early age and with some self-study he tries to play along.

Henry makes his first appearance on stage in the hard rock band Jack-A-Dandy from Heerhugowaard (late 80s / early 90s) and played at various locations in North Holland and as support act for Jewel, among others. They played their own songs but also covers of ZZ Top and Queen. During that period he also took guitar lessons from several people. With the focus on the electric guitar. Jack-A-Dandy quits after a few years and after two gigs with occasional band Fuzzle as part of ‘Waardse Glorie’ (Battle of the bands), it becomes quiet on stage for Henry from 1993 and he delves more into classical guitar and flamenco music.

After a long silence from music, he joined the cover band Flashback from Zaandam at the end of 2017 and played there for more than 2 years. Since the beginning of 2020, Henry has joined coverband Blue Flame to focus more on blues and rock music. The last set of their gigs is a full Rory Gallagher set (one hour). In January of 2021, inspiration and the spirit fill him with creative ideas. With the purchase of a new desktop and, among other things, the software program EZ drummer 2, there are now possibilities to work things out at home.
