Swiss death/thrash metal band Dead Born Vision are proud to announce the release of their highly anticipated debut album, Moving Through, set for September 5, 2024, through Powerblast Records. This album represents a bold progression from their previous EPs, Dead Born Vision (2018) and Reborn to Reign (2022), capturing the band’s refined songwriting and deeper lyrical themes.
Moving Through retains the band’s signature death and thrash metal roots, while introducing more complexity, intensity, and introspection. The album cover features their mascot, "Helvetor," symbolizing the theme of breaking through personal barriers, reflecting the lyrics' deeper message of transcending one's own limitations and challenging entrenched perspectives.
Dead Born Vision was formed in 2017 by guitarist Nicole and vocalist David, both founding members of Braindead, a band that dominated European stages from 1995 to 2015. During that time, Braindead performed over 100 shows across Switzerland, Germany, France, and Poland, sharing the stage with iconic bands like Gurd, Thanatos, and Testament. When Braindead disbanded, Nicole and David teamed up with longtime friend and drummer Stefan to continue their musical journey, ultimately forming Dead Born Vision.
In 2017, the lineup was solidified with the addition of guitarist Annette and bassist Beat Brack. Although Beat transitioned to video production in 2021, Dominik Plein briefly took over bass duties until 2022. In 2023, David’s friend Tom joined as the new permanent bassist. Annette, despite leaving the band for personal reasons just before the completion of Moving Through, contributed to the album and appears in the already-filmed music videos. Stefan Hunter was brought in as the second guitarist in March 2024, rounding out the current lineup.
Dead Born Vision’s sound fuses the aggression of 90s death and thrash metal with modern production techniques. Recorded at David's personal studio and polished by renowned producer Christoph Brandes at Iguana Studio in Freiburg, Germany, Moving Through is a raw yet meticulously crafted album, featuring eight tracks that showcase the band’s musical evolution.
The release of Moving Through marks a pivotal moment for the band. With the lineup settled and their debut full-length album ready, Dead Born Vision are prepared to enter a new chapter, taking their high-energy performances to stages across Europe and beyond.
