Originally conceived in 2020 by visionary artist DeeRead, Dark Shadow began as a multidisciplinary art project intertwining music, manga, and post-apocalyptic themes. The band’s previous singles—Bright Blue Sky, Dark Legion, and Fear Written Letter (accompanied by a cinematic video)—have each added layers to their richly woven narrative.
Now, with their debut album, Chapter One, set to release on May 12 through the esteemed European label Great Ocean Road, the band takes their storytelling to new heights. The album will be accompanied by the release of an original manga of the same name, further immersing fans in their apocalyptic vision.
