After nearly five years in the making, Canadian hard rock and heavy metal force JUGULAR has unveiled their most ambitious and haunting work yet: Hymns for Our Deathbed. Released on December 25, 2024, this album is a gut-wrenching exploration of the many forms of loss that shape the human experience.
"Each track is a funeral hymn for something, and we wanted to channel every ounce of that grief and struggle into this record," says frontman Jordan Grimbly.
From the loss of self to the loss of truth, control, a loved one, a child, and even society itself, Hymns for Our Deathbed is a ferocious, unrelenting, and deeply emotional sonic journey. The album was carefully crafted over nearly half a decade, beginning in January 2020 and culminating in its final form in December 2024. Engineered to perfection by Michal Krol, who edited, mixed, and mastered the record, every track delivers raw power and searing emotion.
