Brazilian Rock Duo Gas Dance Release New Single "Band-Aids From My Scars (Live)"

The Brazilian duo Gas Dance, formed by Thalys Guarnieri (vocals) and Pedro Domicio (guitar), releases today the new live single, "Band-Aids From My Scars (Live)". The track is a sample of the band's next album, Slow Dance, and was recorded in the band's home studio, following the DIY and lo-fi aesthetic that marks the group's sonic identity.

"Band-Aids From My Scars (Live)" captures the visceral and emotional essence of the band, mixing indie rock with 70s guitars, synthesizers and electric pianos. The lyrics, intense and verbose, navigate between spoken-word and moments of screams, narrating a love story that lasted two years. The live performance conveys the raw energy that has become characteristic of Gas Dance, making every note and every verse even more poignant and real.

Since its formation in 2018, Gas Dance has stood out for its authenticity in its creative process, recording, producing and mixing all of its music independently. Their first two albums, Gas Dance and California Dreaming, established the band as a force in independent rock in Brazil, and Slow Dance promises to be their boldest release to date. Combining her indie rock style with Brazilian rhythms and acoustic sounds, the new album also features Lina Cosmic, an independent singer and bassist, and Gustavo Azem, a renowned drummer from Rio.

With the release of "Band-Aids From My Scars (Live)," Gas Dance offers a powerful preview of what's to come on Slow Dance. The band invites everyone to dive into this visceral sound experience and feel the strength of rock made with soul and honesty.
